Ghaetta Wolkenstayn

This large portative organ in the tradition of late Gothic instruments offers a wide range of tones in the lower alto register.

Large, fully chromatic range of 2 1/2 octaves; powerful, dynamic sound, intoned for expressive playing and exciting sound effects.

All this with the lowest weight and at the same time high mechanical stability.

The decorated and engraved frame is made of reddish cherry.

Also available in other types of wood.

Metal pipes made from a tin-lead alloy. Powerful, full and confident principal sound. Tuning sleeves made of light parchment paper or metal; Available in other materials upon request.

Wooden pipes on request.

Pitch: a=440Hz or e.g. 466Hz (or as desired; further information on tuning/tunes)

Also available with transposition device (e.g. 415 – 440 – 466 Hz) on request.

The keys (either a piano-type or a button-type keyboard is available) are made of selected fruit-tree wood and maple.

All keys, even several at the same time, can be individually locked as drone tones using adjustable drone levers.

As a special feature for a large tonal range and flexibility despite the small dimensions of the instrument, the following pipes can be retuned using optional put-on-sleeves:

Large bellows made of white sheepskin/cherry wood.
