This beautiful, very slender Clavicytherium follows the late Gothic form of the late 15th century. It is modeled on the oldest surviving Clavicytherium, which was probably created in Ulm around 1480. It is now in London.<\/p>\n

Due to the deliberately low number of pages, a comparatively large ambience is achieved with full functionality and still a very low weight.<\/p>\n

We consciously decided to use brass strings that sound wonderfully beautiful and powerful, but are extremely tuned and intonationally stable, for a somewhat muted, but still powerfully dynamic, harpsichord-like sound, intoned for expressive playing and exciting sound effects. Version with strings e.g. made of gut and undamped mechanics on request.<\/p>\n

The decorated and engraved frame is made of cedar or cypress. The top is made of either cedar wood or spruce, the sound holes are decorated with parchment rosettes.<\/p>\n

The wonderfully smooth-running and precisely responsive keyboard enables very expressive playing.<\/p>\n

Pitch: a=440Hz; other tonal ranges and tunes upon request.<\/p>\n

Alternatively, upon request we offer a version with an extended range with 32 keys, range then a0-e3. This version in the form of the early Renaissance is very light and small, also weighing just over 7 kg, and is also easy to transport due to the harpsichord-like body shape with an offset top. <\/p>\n
